We have entered into an agreement with Google for the outsourcing of our data processing and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

This website uses Google Analytics' demographic features. This allows reports to be generated containing statements about the age, gender, and interests of site visitors. we would like to provide you with some specific information about the processing of your personal data that is involved when you send a job application to our company.
Which items of your data do we process and for what purposes?
We process the data that you have sent to us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (and for other positions in our company, as applicable) and to carry out the application procedure.
What is the legal basis for this processing?
The primary legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application procedure is article 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) in its current version. According to this law, processing of data is permissible if it is necessary in order to justify a hiring decision.
If data is still required after completing the application procedure – for legal reasons, for example – then data processing is permissible based on Art. 6 of the EU GDPR, and particularly for the purpose of upholding legitimate interests pursuant to point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR. In such cases, our interests are the assertion of or mounting a defence against claims.
For how long is applicant data stored?
If an application is rejected, applicant data is erased after 12 months.
If your application was successful and you have accepted our job offer, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred across into our HR information system.
Is applicant data shared with other data recipients?
After receipt, your applicant data is viewed by our HR department. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the departmental managers responsible for the vacancy in question. The next steps are then discussed and agreed. Within our company, the only people given access to your data are those persons who need this data to ensure our application procedure is completed correctly.
Where is applicant data processed?
All applicant data is processed solely in data centres located in the Federal Republic of Germany.
8. Data protection in relation to video surveillance at our Saerbeck site
We have installed video surveillance equipment on our premises and grounds at this site.
Purpose and legal basis of video surveillance
Video surveillance is used to safeguard our property rights, to dissuade persons from conducting activities and to preserve evidence in the event of a crime.
The legal basis for video surveillance is point (f) of Art. 6(1) of the EU GDPR, whereby our interests result from the purposes stated above.
Data recipients/data sharing
If we suspect that criminal activities have taken place, we may pass the data to law enforcement agencies.
Other than this, data is passed on or shared only if there is a legal basis for doing so. One typical case of this kind is if the police or other public safety authorities become involved in a ‘hazard control’ incident and require access to the data from the video surveillance system.
Data processing outside the European Union
Our operation of the video surveillance system does not involve the (external) processing of personal data.

Your rights as a data subject
You have the right of access to your personal data that we collect, process or store. You can contact us to request information about this data at any time.
If this request for information is not made in writing, please understand that we may need to ask you to provide evidence that you are the person for whom you are requesting this information. You also have rights of rectification and erasure, and to restrict processing of your data as provided for by data protection legislation. Data protection legislation also grants you the right to object to the processing of your data. Lastly, data protection law also grants you the right of data portability.
Erasure of data
All data from our video surveillance system is usually erased after 72 hours. A longer period of storage may apply if warranted, if the facts of the matter justify the assumption that the recordings from a specific period of time depict activities that are to be used as evidence in the prosecution of a criminal act or to assert claims under tort law.
If the event of illness or absence on the part of surveillance staff, video recordings may be held in storage for up to 10 days.
Right to lodge a complaint at a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint about the processing of your personal data by us at a supervisory authority for data protection.
